What are matching gifts?
Many corporations will match their employees’ gifts to higher education with an equal or greater corporate contribution. Rules about the type of gifts that companies will match vary. Please check with your Human Resources Office for details and to obtain the appropriate forms.

How do I make a matching gift?
If you work for a matching gift company, obtain the matching gift form from your Human Resources office, complete it, and send it along with your to: Jewish Studies | Arizona State University | P.O. Box 874302| Tempe, AZ 85287-4302

Jewish Studies will note your matching gift, submit your form to the ASU Foundation which will process your form and notify your employer.

Will my company’s match count toward my gift for donor recognition?
Yes. At ASU, matching gifts are applied as "soft credit" to a donor’s total giving record. For example, if you gave $250 to the annual fund last year and your company matched dollar-for-dollar, you would have been recognized at the $500 gift level (however, only your original $250 is tax deductible).

I’m retired. Will my former company still match my gift?
Many companies will match gifts from retired employees and spouses of eligible employees/retirees. Please check with your company’s Human Resources Office for details as matching guidelines will vary with each company.

How can I tell if my company will match my gift?
You may view this list to see if your company is listed. However, companies frequently change their policies, so it is best to check with your human resources office.
